So lately I have hit some pretty rough bumps in my life and it is hard to understand why you try so hard, only to be where I am left at. When you are strong for so long it wears you down to the point of going back to the person that makes you the happiest.....YOURSELF. I constantly ask myself "what's wrong with me?" and "why is it so hard to be a wife and mom?" Then I stumbled across this fabulous quote that kinda hit me on the head....

That was kind of an "ah ha" moment for me. A moment of realizing that my desires are righteous and celestial. As long as those standards are kept of wanting to be a woman of god, I will be blessed in this life and the next. Just because it isn't happening right now, doesn't mean it never will. It takes a strong soul, patient spirit, and determined woman to withstand the trials of this time and I know that I was saved for this dispensation and I am grateful for that. If god brings me to it, he will bring me through it. You can only be so determined about certain things before you have to place the situation in the hands of Heavenly Father and trust in his love. With that being said, this brings me to my 2nd "ah ha" quote......

And that speaks for itself. Just like I blogged before about 2012.... This year is GOING to be about me. I have lived for others for a long time and it is time to make me happy and go after things that I want... happiness,marriage, photography studio, taking chances, and LOVING life.

So here is to 2012. Cheers!

Christmas Treats and Current Happenings!!

Hey Hey!!! What a great Christmas and New Years!! I love hearing about everyone's holiday events and what is next! Even more, I love starting a new year. I know that 2012 is gonna be my year and I am so excited to make changes (as described in the previous new years resolution post.) So in this post I will bring you up to date and share my recent happenings!

I no longer work at the pediatric dentist office (whew!) and am trying to figure out whether I am staying or going. As much as I love twin, the other half of my heart is in Montana. It would be a major change, so I am carefully thinking about what I am going to do. Current changes in my life have created stress and emotional rollercoasters lately and I appreciate all the people that have supported me and reached out to offer help. A little support goes a long way!

So for Christmas, Jordan was able to sneak away from his territory and come see all of us in twin! We were able to do so many fun things with both families and were truly blessed with a great christmas! I was spoiled as usual! I got what I have wanted for sooo long.... a kitchenaid!!!! I absolutely love it!! He must have had fun packing that big huge box on the plane...... He also got me and ipod dock all in one stereo that I have really wanted and some DVDs and PJ pants :) Dang he knows me good! My parents got me a nice dress coat and the brand new edition of photoshop 10. YAY!!! I am extremely blessed. My favorite part of Christmas though is watching everyone open all their gifts. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas filled with family, good talks, and fun memories!

Well it is now 2012 and it is time to start making those new years resolutions happen! Here is to a fabulous 2012 and to new beginnings!!

A different kind of New Years Resolutions....

Yes I know I'm a little early on all the New Year's Resolutions Hoopla... BUT! this year I am putting a new spin on my resolutions and I am bound and determined to stick to 'em! This brings me to my 2011 "lasts" that will decided how my 2012 will turn out. Hopefully some will give you a good chuckle and some will inspire you. Happy Reading :)

2011 is my last year.......

-seeing the glass half empty instead of half full

-being unmarried

-being fat

-accepting anything less than the best from myself and others

-comparing myself to other people's happiness

-trying to "plan" out my life

-putting the key to my happiness in someone else's pocket

-not appreciating that bad experiences and bad relationships have led me to amazing things

-allowing "part time" people in my life. You're either with me or you're not.

-allowing myself to slack on reading my scriptures

-neglecting my blogging habits

-not forgiving myself for allowing other people to hurt me

-not ackowledging that just because I don't get answers now, doesn't mean they will never come

-not utilizing prayer as often as I should

-having anything less than an attitude of grattitude

-carrying grudges or guilt

-allowing other people's actions and words to affect my happiness and hope

-not letting myself forgive others

-not cherishing the little things and little moments with my awesome family

-being anything less than the amazing person I was created to be

Long Time No Talk????

Yeah So I know it has been quite a long time since I have blogged and I have sooo much to catch up on! It has been a busy summer what can I say :) This might be long, but well worth the read :)

Yeah so see this boy up there? ^^^ yeah he is pretty much my world!! I made several trips up to Montana this summer and loved every minute I got to steal with Jordan. It is an adventure every time I go. For the the Fourth of July we went to Bigfork and had fun with some friends at a cool parade and ate some yummy food! Labor Day weekend we took some pictures to update all my frames (im a pic freak i know)! I was just there this last weekend as well and I have to admit, I can never have enough cuddling! One of my favorite parts was getting to watch Jordan play basketball! I miss that alot with him being away and it was fun to be a little cheerleader again in the "basketball girlfriend cheering section!" Most of all I love him sooo much and he takes such good care of me always!! Somehow we make the distance work and I can't imagine life without him! Love him with all my heart and I am so anxious and excited for the soon to be changes!!

Toward the end of the summer, we got to sneak away to our favorite vacation spot for the weekend! Jordan was able to come and spend time with all the family too!! The beach was bare and we had a whole portion of the beach all to ourselves! It was smooth and we got to play all day! The cabin was fun and playing games at night topped everything off.

Unfortunately on the way home from the lake, my mom and Eric were in an awful car accident on 9/11. Both cars were totaled and it is a miracle everyone survived. Everyone is recovering and doing better each day. We are very grateful for family and friends and the support of everyone during that difficult time. It has sure opened our eyes to living each day and not to waste time with things that don't matter in the grand scheme of life.

I am still working at Smiles 4 Kids children's dentistry and enjoying being with the kids. As you all know, I LOVE kids. If i had a choice I would still rather babysit than go to work :) thats not a bad thing right??

My Photography sessions have taken off and I now to about a couple sessions a week. I have a passion for it and is a super fun hobby to get to play with all the colors and editing. My photography site is craftycupoftea.blogspot.com! Check it out!

Weekend Getaway!!

So over Memorial Day I got to sneak away and see my man for the weekend!! This was a loooooong awaited trip and the time that I was there went wayyy too fast! We had so many plans of things to do outside like pictures and going to Glacier Park and all kinds of things, but the weather was horrible and wet and rainy so we ended up staying inside most of the time. It was very warm though! I never knew that roasting hot dogs in the fireplace would be so romantic, but it was!!! What can I say though, we could do absolutely nothing together and still have the best time! Things are now getting rocky and intense with Jordan's job now that it is summer and it isn't fun! I am however looking forward to seeing him again for 4th of July weekend which also happens to be our 2 year anniversary!!!! We have had ups and downs, but I wouldn't change a things and I love him more and more everyday! He's my better half :)

Update On Life!! It's been a few months!!!

Well hello all! Man I had a New Year's resolution to blog more and well let's just say that the last few months have been busy busy!!

Well first things first, WORK! I am still working at Smiles for Kids Pediatric Dentistry and loving it!.... well mostly loving the schedule but can ya blame me for having nights and weekends off? ha ha Love my team I work with and love what I do so it is a win win situation! We are currently battling each other for an in office "Biggest Loser!" With the pot at $200 I'm goin for it! Wish me luck!

Just a few weeks ago I celebrated my 21st birthday!!!... yeah all that really meant was that I earned the right to have my license horizontal instead of vertical! ha ha I celebrated with family and my man came down from Montana! It was a great weekend topped off with Osama being killed on my 21st birthday! Heck to the yes I will remember that always! My great birthday weekend came to an end however when i discovered the next morning that my car had been broke into and everything was gone. How convenient that security cameras weren't pointing that way at my apartment and that my landlord didn't care.... PERFECT!

My photography has definitely taken off these past few months and is keeping me busy! Its nice to be getting repeat clients as well as new clients booking sessions! I have to say that it is one of my passions and the extra money is nice I have to admit :) It has been super fun and I hope to continue it and grow even more! Memorial Day is coming up and I am headed to Montana to see my man! I am soooo excited I can barely stand it! Jordan is busy as usual with his big job and basketball. Somehow he squeezes in time for me and spoils me rotten :) I LOVE HIM!!

Really wish the weather would warm up.. I'm already dreaming of hot summer jet ski rides,beach trips, and sunkissed tans! Summer hurry up!!!

Fun Weekend In SLC!!!

So this last weekend, I decided to go to SLC on a whim to see my super fantastic cousins Allie and Zach! It was a blast! We had tons of fun and got some funny stories to tell too!

The first night I was there we went to eat at this ma and pa chinese place that had homeade orange chicken so needless to say, I was excited! The food was really good, but when we were all done eating and just talking, me and allie screamed when we saw a MOUSE RUN ACROSS THE FLOOR!!!! We were so disgusted we almost lost our dinner! Good thing it was good food otherwise we might have been a little more upset! We went miniature golfing at boondocks after that where Allie found her true talent! (pic below)

Allie and I tore up the stores shopping on Saturday as well as pigging out on really good food including the cheescake factory!!!! yum!!!!

Sunday we took Zach and Allie's Maternity pictures and practically got blown away! It was kinda funny though to see Charlie (their dog) fall in a swamp on accident. WHOOPS! lol Their pictures came out soooo stinkin cute though! check them out at craftycupoftea.blogspot.com

In Loving Memory of Sweet Megan

This girl is strong. This girl is different. This girl is beautiful. This girl is Megan. Megan touched my life.

Megan was in a terrible snowmobiling accident and passed away this past Friday, February 18, 2011 at the young age of 21. Even though this picture was taken about 2 years ago, it is by far my favorite. It shows just how bubbly and bright she was and how much fun we always had together. Her sudden death made me realize how short life can be and to live every moment to the fullest because little do we know, it may be our last. This girl lived to the fullest and there was never a dull moment.

Megan had a beautiful funeral filled with warm memories, lots of love, family, and friends. There wasn't a dry eye in the congregation.

Rest in peace sweet girl. You have opened my eyes to a whole nother way of living. You will be remembered always.

See this dude? Yeah he's pretty much my favorite a.k.a. my little brother Justin. He is pretty much the coolest 12 year old I know. I can come over on a whim and say "hey justin lets go take pictures!" and being the sweet lil guy he is he grabs his coat and says "OK!" I can call him up and say "hey dude will you do P90X with me so I don't have to do it myself?" and he will say "Sure!" I seriously can ask him to do literally anything with me and he will be there faster than I can say "lets go." He is the best and I love him soo much! He is my bud! Love ya dude!

Trip to Idaho Falls

So this weekend I got to take a little 2day vacation from Twin Falls and go spend time with my awesome cousin!!! It was so nice to just have some girl time! Since she is wicked awesome at doing hair, she rehighlighted mine and i LOVE it!! After we went to the movies to see "Just Go With It" and then to Cafe Rio for Dinner! Dang I missed spendin time with this girl :)

....And as you can see... I got a little bored on the car ride home :) lol

An Update on Life

Hey everyone!

Man its been such a long time since I wrote on here all about my super crazy life so I'm gonna try to cram it all on this post :)

I just accepted a job at Smiles for Kids which is a Children's Dentistry here in Twin Falls. There are 3 doctors in the practice who seem pretty cool. I am very excited to start working there and get to know all the ins and outs! Wish me luck!

My brother came home from his mission in December and lets just say things are a little different. When I went to go visit my parents it was just me and my lil brother, Justin and we could hang out and have fun. Now since he is home, I'm the 3rd wheel! Oh well!

This news is hard for me to even type, but the first part of moving on is sharing the news. Despite planning a wedding and looking for a dress, that relationship came to an end. Things didn't end up working out, but I'm excited for a fresh start and wish him the best of luck! He's a great guy!

My car. My poor car. About a month ago, I was parked at my apartment on a Friday night. I woke up the next morning to a blizzard of snow when I was heading to my parents house. When I went to Costco to get gas with my mom, she got out and was like "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR CAR??" I hadn't noticed anything that morning since It was snowing, but the passenger door behind the driver was literally smashed in with a nice white swipe of paint on it also. I was livid. It seemed like when it rained it poured in my life! I combed all the cars at my apartment complex, but none had my paint on it, so it had to have been someone there for a party that night. Grrr!!!

Still hittin the gym and enjoying getting out and staying active at Gold's. I also starting doing alot more photography now that I got a super awesome new camera for Christmas! check out my new blog craftycupoftea.blogspot.com!
